Opera for Babies at the COC
This morning, the Canadian Opera Company hosted Opera for Babies, in partnership with Art Strollers Toronto. It's an amazing event that gives parents a chance to introduce their babies and toddlers to opera in a relaxed environment. They can scream, cry, laugh – it's all welcome at Opera for Babies.
Local soprano Karine White and pianist Hyejin Kwon performed a program of art songs and arias that included Debussy's "Nuit d'étoiles", Puccini's "Quando m'en vo" from La Bohème and a touching rendition of "Over the Rainbow" from The Wizard of Oz.
Photographing babies has to be the best way to spend a morning!
